Electricity Generation Study, Western Africa

The circumstances of this project are unique in that the sale of the electricity back to the Government grid is not considered financially secure and so an alternative option is sought by our client.

We conducted gas pumping trials and subsequently designed a full gas and leachate extraction system for the site. Our proposal includes installing a 4km pipeline to a local factory resulting in a feasible sale of the electricity generated. This project is believed to be the first of its kind in Western Africa.
