LFP have completed the installation of a culvert system Pine Lake Resort, Carnforth.

LFP implemented a new culvert system to reduce the risk and impact of flooding to the surrounding lodges. The project included a replacement of a hydraulically inadequate culvert with a box culvert including new upstream and downstream headwalls, each with protective handrails. The upstream channel was reprofiled and retained with Flex MSE bagwall construction. The downstream link channel was armoured with rock revetment at its bed. Within this project, LFP also maintained water levels of the lake through pumping, diverted HV power cabling, reinstated a tarmac road and restored areas of grassland.

LFP maintained site access throughout the project, alongside minimising noise for residents and holiday guests. Ecology was also a focus of the project to ensure existing habitats weren’t effected by the works.
