Starting at 08:30am on 28th August 2021, a team of 9 Landfill Projects employees and 5 friends and family set off to complete the National 3 Peaks Challenge in order to raise as much money as possible for Derian House and The Campbell Burns Metabolic Trust.

The National Three Peaks Challenge involves climbing the three highest peaks – Scotland (Ben Nevis – 4409ft), England (Scafell Pike – 3209ft) and Wales (Snowdon – 3560ft), all within 24 hours (that includes travel time in between… up and down all three mountains!).

Each person was set the challenge of raising at least £300 to match the amount the company funded.

Through a lot of training, effort, determination, injury and struggle, 12 of the 14 members of the team completed all 3 mountains, up and down within 24hrs! It was a huge achievement, especially for the boss man himself, Paul Eckersley finishing first from the group in a time of 23hrs 19mins!

Thank you so much to everybody who supported Landfill Projects Ltd. throughout this challenge. So far we have raised an amazing £14,500 including Gift Aid!
