Capping Project, Whinney Hill Landfill, Lancashire

Following on from the successful completion of the 2018/2019 – 23,000m2 1mm geomembrane temporary cap and wind anchorage geotextile installation, Landfill Projects were awarded the 2019/2020 – 15,000m2 1mm geomembrane temporary cap and wind anchorage geotextile works.

Works are now finished having been completed in challenging conditions with steep slopes, tight angles and a narrow timeframe.

Works also included ground preparation, 39 pipe boot details of various sizes, the installation of gas scavenger pipework and gas infrastructure works to allow capping works to progress.
